OpenAI Unveils o3 and o4-mini: Smarter AI for Better Reasoning

The models are available to Pro, Plus, and Team users starting today. A more powerful version of o3, called o3-pro, is also coming soon for ChatGPT Pro subscribers.

OpenAI released these models to stay ahead of rivals like Google, Meta, and xAI. CEO Sam Altman had once suggested delaying o3, but competition pushed the company to launch it now.
